Although Warren Buffet is portrayed as a humble, modest billionaire, I think he is all business....after all, he's chumming around with Bill Gates, isn't he? I think he wants to make sure there's enough disposable money left over to buy the products he makes. He HATES losing money. I don't think it has anything to do with saving the middle class. After all, he didn't leave the majority of his inheritance to his niece (daughter?) who lives like a middle class person. He thinks she is doing fine. Personally, I think it is great when the rich suffer because we do not buy their products...gives us power. Boycott, boycott.

We love to keep up with the Jonses except when they go broke. W. Buffet is a very canny investor that has run his fund very well. He is also sane enough to realize that too much is too much.

So, since Buffett knows the difficulties our country is having, we'll be seeing him transfer the bulk of his wealth to the U.S. Government in 3, 2, 1...

Here's the link on the info:
Gifts to the United States Government: Questions and Answers: Financial Management Service

Send the link to Buffett, and report back to us on how many billion$ he's given the government because "he is also sane enough to realize that too much is too much."

Think it'll happen? Or is Buffett a fake, as the OP stated?

The only thing your post proves is that it's outside you limited range of thinking that a rich person can also believe that the current taxation system unfairly favors high income individuals.

Believe it or not it's possible to be rich without being greedy. If you are a Conservative that may be hard to understand.

What kind of poll is this? You mad at him? You mad that he started from nothing and made himself one of the worlds richest people? You mad that he is seen as a leader? You mad at his opinion?

I much rather listen to Warren than some poll about him.

Hades is freezing over. We agree!

OP, if you want to understand Buffet you should read his authorized biography: The Snowball .

There is nothing to prevent Buffet from giving all his loot to the US treasury if he feels that way!

Buffet is a very astute investor. He has an excellent team of analysts and has run his fund to generate profits for his investors.

I don't begrudge him his wealth; in fact I own some Berkshire Hathaway and will continue to own it until he's no longer at the helm.
