Well its obvious, his failure to eradicate the bedbug infestation in low budget hotel rooms has led to increased CO2 in the atmosphere and increased levels of pesticide run off in the water. Each alone mean nothing but combined they have contributed to increased alge blooms in the oceans that due to pesticides exposure has made them into a mutant strain of super alge. Now when the oil tankers from the Middle East have to cross the ocean, there is increased resistance, which in turn cost them more to operate and thus sending the price of fuel higher to compensate for the added fuel and transportation costs.

Which leads us to only two possible options, Obama is a secret Muslim or we need to invade Iran and Switzerland like yesterday. Sheesh the stuff the liberal press never tells us about you can always find on my Beck-O-Rama three D chalk board.

Come on, does anybody honestly think the president has so much to do with the fuel prices?
The discussion "under W it was $4 a gallon, under Clinton it was $1 and under Obama it is $3" is somehow ridiculous.

Fuel prices reached their highest tops in a time the economy was booming, before the international financial crisis back in 2007/2008. Now, with the economy struggling around in 2008/2009, it went down to lower prices, rising again with a recovering world economy from the beginning of 2010. It is all about demand and supply, not about the president. Growing economies in Asia have a growing demand for oil and gas.

People all over the world are cosuming more oil, so the price is going up, and it will keep going up over the next years, so better get a fuel efficient car as soon as possible, otherwise keep shouting " Bahhstahhds! " at the gas station.

You know what, I think higher fuel prices are not that bad. People start thinking about effciency, public transport, and avoiding unnecessary driving. Compared with the rest of the world, fuel prices in the US are very low... enjoy the last years of this luxury and prepare for reality.

What caused the huge drop in gas prices during 12/2008?

Unless of course you are suggesting that oil production and refining here in the US absolutely have no effect on the price of fuel.

Are you advocating the nationalization of oil companies?

I would have thought with all the subsidies that the oil companies got from the Bush administration, the oil companies would have used it to build refineries. If not then, then what does it take from the government.

I don't think it was that low.

Central bankers are the ones to blame for that.

What did people expect would be the result of his policies and drilling moratoriums? The price of oil has been inching up ever since the BP Gulf mess. Wait until the hike in the federal fuel tax goes up again next year.
I guess no one ever told you that oil is a global commodity whose price is determined on international markets.

California's gas usually is much higher than the rest of the country.

Its the extra cleansers & emissions reducers they put in the fuel only California uses.

Plus the demand out there is so huge. Everyone drives in California.

The issue with W was that gas was 1.89 a gallon, and then a short time later it was 4.50.
Sucks to live where you live then.

I remember when it was $2.22 about 6 months ago.

Whats a short time later to you? It didn't just jump up to that over night & I have NEVER paid $4.50 for gas in Texas! The highest it ever got up to here was like $3.89 a gallon.
