What Obama really needs to do, Ellison advised Minnesota Public Radio, was to “create a real crisis” that would force the GOP to surrender on tax hikes for those making $200,000 a year or more

Audio: Dem Rep says Obama should “create a real crisis” to hike taxes on wealthy « Hot Air

Audio included.

Why would any democrat want that? Does he think that crisis would only hurt the millionaires?

Dem Rep says Obama should “create a real crisis” to hike taxes on wealthy

Dems and their gluttonous addiction for evermore tax revenues, social engineering, 'other people's money', entitlements, wealth redistribution, and endless big Government programs and 'solutions'

....anything, and soon, everything, for a buck, to further undermine this Nation

A pox on them all

I thought this is what he has been doing all along.

DREAM Act creates a real crisis on the Medicaid/Medicare rolls, as does Obamacare, continuing the wars, funding more entitlements, MONETIZING the DEBT.

Within 10 years the CBO says the Dream Act will be sucking money from government programs.

We already have a crisis, Obama is in the WH.

We have the dems now waging a war against their own leader over allowing the middle class working Americans to keep their paychecks instead of handing it over to the spend a buck dems to waste.

We need to find a way to rid ourselves of democrats like this who hate America.

Maybe we need to deport their sorry butts to a country of their liking.

This is what they should do and the democrats really seem to be sticking to the fight which they should. The right have been schoolyard bullies to the democrats for the past two yeas and pretending like they are the ones in control. Obama needs to stop being a coward letting the right calling the shots and agreeing with their loan shark offer, rather let them all expire, it will be a slap on the wrist for the average american, but a huge blow to the .5% the republicans are fighting so hard for. In the end the right are going come out at those not willing to compromise, don't give a damn about anyone but the filthy right and will get heat 10fold from their cronies, putting them in their place. The democrats have to keep united and fight, not cave like they have historically done.
900 billion dollars added to the deficit the republicans are proposing is the absolute worst thing to do right now.

So right you are, the crisis we have is called Obama in the W.H. and things under him have not progressed to what we can call a GREAT CHANGE.

The Demtwits are so scred-- up one minute their with their leader, the next minute, they are waging a war against him, can't they make up their freaking minds.

No excuses for this president and he gets no free passes, as past presidents have not, he deserves none.

Great economy ha! Nice Change.

I know some who cannot even afford to have X/mas this year, thanks Obama. And too many who have lost a job, under Obama's leadership.

Exactly what I've been saying. Call the GOP's bluff.

Let income taxes go up for all Americans.....then offer an amendment the next day exempting or reimbursing 98% of us taxpayers.

How long before the GOP would fold? 1 day? 2 days?

Unemployment befefits? Same thing. Let the GOP cut them off. People need to know who exactly votes for them and against them.

All they have to do is look up the roll call vote if they care to know. Honestly, most don't, they just vote for the "idol" material and go back to following the herd.
