32% IS the correct figure. I can't help it if you have the math skills of a 3rd grader.

If this get passed the social security program will be taking in 1/3 less in worker contributions next year. So it is not 2% less to the program. You really think that is not going to have a significant impact on the program?

I will leave it to others to opine on the motivations.
