Ever notice this? Boulder, CO, Bay Area, CA, Boston, MA., et al lead the way towards liberal cannabis laws?

The most restrictive cannabis laws? Found in Florida, Utah, and Texas.

Who's shocked?

Well, by the time you are old enough to retire to Florida you have grown out of it anyway.

Florida will legalize it once they attract a more educated class of seniors than they have now. Floridians in general do what they are told, as do most non-educated people. Thus, the massive pain killer problem in Florida, and a "relief" clinic on every other corner.

All the while, these people could be using cannabis medicinally for many of their concerns with no significant negative effects. They just don't know any better.

High powered pharma reps love Florida; keep em' clueless, loaded with pills, and believing that cannabis, something pharma companies cannot make money off of, is the devils cabbage. Everyone wins, from pharma to the prison industrial complex.

Education is dangerous to a lot of these folks.

Unfortunately, thanks to the liberal dumbing down of our higher learning institutions that discourages intellectual achievement and rewards socialized mediocre sameness, being "highly educated" is no longer synonymous with being intelligent.

Pretty good example of a gross generalization.

There is a strong argument that having a college degree simply means you are trainable (i.e. you did what you were told and were rewarded with a piece of paper).
And how many were introduced to marijuana because their friends did it? Caving to peer pressure is hardly an indicator of independent thought.

Carry on with your elitist premise,I'm enjoying the laugh.

It never was synonymous. It was an indicator. Universities, of course, reward achievement. You're just making stuff up. Creepy.

Academic Ranking of World Universities - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

We have the greatest institutions in the world. If reality and learning doesn't correspond with your alternative universe, fine. But you don't get ownership of the word intelligent because you prefer fairy tale time in Church on Sunday to adults doing liberal book learnin'.

Legalize weed. Treat it like alcohol. Tax the sales of it.
