I dont think he was too scared to deploy (didnt he have a few deployments in his history?) I do think he thought he might start a movement or set a precedent. Amazingly poor judgement from this guy.

Have you read the U.S. Constitution lately? Is the Constitution legal or illegal?

It's lawful, and lawful trumps legal any day.

Nothing at all.

Your reasoning broke down at "therefore." The power to wage war (i.e. authorize military deployment to foreign countries) resides with the Congress. Not the President.

It's right there in the Constitution, IC.

I am not concerned with Wong Kim Ark's concluding statement. I am concerned with Wong Kim Ark's definition of natural born citizen.

You keep saying that. But I've just read the letter again. It offers no definition at all.

Who orders the deployment? Congress? Or the president?

You don't see the word foreign in there? And you're incapable of comprehending the meaning and intent of Jay's letter?

That explains a lot.

In the specific case of Lakin, the deployment was ordered by the Deputy Director of Personnel Operations for the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. You can find the orders here:

Sure I do. I just don't find it inside a definition of natural born citizen.

There is not one in the letter.
