If the guy had raped my daughter, or beat her, or caused her physical harm, yeah, I'd string him up by his testicles and commence to sawing with a dull butter knife. But we are talking about a consensual relationship here.

I don't have a daughter yet (she's due in march ) but I do know this from raising a boy who will be 7 next week. Telling a child what they have to do is hard to do. I can't imagine telling a grown adult what they have to do, my child or not.

Don't know how i feel on this one, and yes i have a grown daughter, a beautiful daughter, who even at 17 had more sense then to date someone of that age.

I can understand the Father's frustration i truly do, but if each time, something like this happens, how much more easier will it get, for people to follow this example. I am literally torn on this one. i have sympathy for the Father, but when our children grow, we want them to at least have common sense also. What do we do with all of the convicted rapists, and abusers of children, and babies who are out there, should they too not get the same punishment.

When we do decide to take the law in our own hands, does it not become much easier for the next situation, that is the same, to become much easier the next time around.

My daughter would never had been dating someone that age at 17.

There is a part of me that is accepting of this, but if let go, where does it stop.

The guy is old... he doesn't need his testicles for testosterone anyways. They aren't producing very much to begin with. But whatever less they are producing now, may save him from getting testicular cancer, hair loss, and enlarged prostate. LOL! And from molesting underaged children.

I agree wholeheartedly! That a 57 y.o. man would be conducting himself as such! He deserved every slow stroke of that knife! Too bad he only had two to remove...

My hat's off to the Dad! I'd gladly do the same for my daughter, although I'd like to believe I'm raising her with more sense than to ever do something like that! Time will tell.

For people who think its ok, I have to then ask, what is the age seperation that would justify this? Does a bf 20 year age difference justify it? How about 10? Hey, some might say no one is good enough to date their daughter so are you ok to castrate anyone who approaches your daughter? Anyone who justifies this is pathetic...

Oh please. This father should spend an awful long time in prison. Vigilante justice is never okay.

Also, if the relationship was consensual then there is nothing wrong with it. The father can certainly give his advice, but it's his daughter's decision who she dates.
