That man is my hero.

Anyone know if he's got a defense fund set up yet? I might be tempted to contribute.

I never said that love conquers all. I simply said that there is little to nothing that you can do about it. You may want to castrate a guy in a similar situation, but you aint gonna do it.

Famous last words, never gonna happen, ain't gonna do it. I would guess that the father had already threatened the boyfriend with such an action if he didn't stop dating his daughter and boyfriend confided this threat to his daughter and she said "He's lying, he ain't doing that, no way" to which the boyfriend started believing her and he said "Yea he talks a good game but he ain't $h!t", sometime later sssnnnnnnnnniiiiiiiiiippppppp and guess what he wasn't lying. Thats a hell of a way to find out if he's telling the truth.

Stats say flying in a plane is safer than driving, you won't get hit by lightning, a pi$$ed off dad won't cut your johnson off. Guess what stats don't mean crap if you died in a plane crash, got struck by lightning or got castrated by some pi$$ed off dad. I have two boys thankfully, but I would never say someone doesn't have the balls. There's alot of crazy people out there.

One has to wonder what attracted the girl to the older fellow. Was he stinking rich, hung like a horse, or did the girl have daddy issues? Was there even an affair at all? There are two sides to every story and there seems to be a lot missing here. Apparently the father acted on an anonymous phone call. There may be much more to it than that but if that's all he was going on, I'd say daddy has a screw loose.

Anything that happens between lovers is the concern of the lovers not anyone else. Maybe Mack the Knife couldn't stand to have some guy steal his property?

If I had a girlfriend, God willing, any irate father that pulled a knife to castrate me would soon realize, but not for very long, that he was in a gunfight.

Don't need to. Every man claims that they'd do these things in a similar situation. Funny how i almost NEVER hear about stories of fathers doing a damn thing about it in real life even though i'm sure older guys screwing teens happens all the time. And for good reason...most (99.99999%) don't have the guts.

I'll stick to my opinion. You aint gonna do it. I'd take my chances on the stats.

So, all you vigilantes in this thread: Where's the line? A what point do you get to decide that you child's legal and consensual relationship is so inappropriate that it is acceptable for you to commit acts of grievous violence?

"My daughter is dating an older man, so I think it's okay to maim him."

"My daughter is dating an Muslim, so I think it's okay to castrate him."

"My daughter is dating an unemployed man, so I think it's okay to castrate him."

Civilised society is governed by laws. Perhaps imperfect laws, but none so imperfect that we need to maim fellow citizens. If you don't like that, then you're free to go live your desired life in the barbarian world.

I hope they lock him away for the rest of his life. He was probably drunk like so many of those Russian-Germans, who are infamous for their aggressive behavior.
