Everybody collects something. Guns are actually a pretty good thing to collect because they hold their value better than 99% of the other stuff that people buy.
I sold most of my guns and got almost 90% of what I paid for them. Plus I used them first. Try doing that with other household products.
Then you have different types of guns:
bird hunting
big game hunting
small game hunting
target shooting
self defence
I can understand that people don't like the thought of shooting animals. But the predators are largely gone. When a deer destroys your car and someone dies, one may look differently at harvesting an over-abundance of deer.
The geese have ruined a lot of parks in Colorado. Started happening when they outlawed lead shot....which allowed hunters to shoot further.
Thats just a couple of probably hundreds of examples.
Why does a person need or want anything? Why would someone need to decorate their front yard with 15 campaign signs? Why would someone need or want to decorate their property with tacky yard ornaments?
Why do some people turn their homes into a christmas fairytale of lights that can be seen from space?
Because in a free society we can.
more proof of what's really important on the right.
Generalize much? The biggest gun freak I know is a devout left wing Democrat.
His house is like a gun show.
