If this was so important, why do we wait until a lame duck session, which is loaded up with years of unfinished business, before we bothered to deal with it?

Vice President tells Sen. Jim DeMint and others opposing the ratification of the START treaty: "Get out of the way. There's too much at stake."

RealClearPolitics - Video - Biden To Republican Opposition: "Get Out Of The Way"

i think I'm sick and tired of this congress, and this administration, with their Henny Penny "The sky id falling" rhetoric, telling us we must not, cannot stop to read the legislation, or discuss it. As if we need to just get out of the way and pass whatever crap rolls down hill, and after 0bama signs the bills, and they become law, then we can see what's in them.

Who's great idea was it to wait until the last two
weeks to do this

AND, What were they doing as to why this was not
taken care of in a timely manner

The liberal mindset in this country is the biggest problem today. Americans are fully aware that Obama is the single worst president in the history of the country and his policies have failed and are actually making things worse. Unemployment is just one example. So all the left can do is start name calling, which is exactly what has happened.
This is why the left only gets a brief bit of power and then the country snaps back to reality and votes in a moderate or conservative and just plain common sense.

They waited until the last minute because they do not want to debate, discuss, read or make changes, because Biden says the sky is falling..... again.

Someone please tell stupid Joe that the American people voted the liberals out of control and they do not want them making decisions on key issues.

They have had control for 4 years and 2 years of total control and they wait until they get DEFEATED to pull this crap on us.

Go home Joe and take the worst congress in history with you.

Swing and a miss

"We do not make a recommendation about the exact timing of a Senate ratification vote. That is a matter for the administration and Senate leaders"

Just Saying

I knew this was going to happen. Biden almost gets beaten by some complete whackjob, but manages to keep his job. And now he realizes that even as completely inept as he's been for the last 6 years, there's still a good chance he can get re-elected, and it's made him brazen.

And does any one believe this almost 2,000 page document with all its detail has not been being worked on for months?

I just don't understand why anyone would oppose the treaty. We need more nukes as a nation? We already have twice as much to turn this entire planet into fallout hell. The US is broke anyway to keep the nukes it's got safe. Didn't one of our jocks drop a nuke 'by accident' a few years ago? Luckily it didn't explode.

Ohh so now we can use past office holders to help make todays decisions.

Since it is working for your agenda lets us it.

Those 5 people do not make the decisions that the majority of us Americans want.

We want this bill to be read, placed online, put on Cspan as promised so we can all see it as we were promised and we want debate on if this is good or bad for America.

5 previous office holders do not make the decisions for the rest of us.

The majority of us voted out the dems for doing just this.

Why did the dems wait until now to decide to push this through?

I know the answer do you?
