Oh let's see hmmm, most of you don't like the 2nd Amendment so you want it repealed, many of you would love to have even more open borders so we can take in more people for the sake of diversity even if it undermines our economy and social cohesion, you want a useless cap-and-trade scheme that does NOTHING to regulate CO2 (assuming of course that AGW really is real) and it'll end up skyrocketing our utility bills and undermine what's left of our competitiveness on the world market, by the way said environmental policies would also result in special police to look through your garbage cans to see if you have any infractions in misplacing trash (think that's far fetched? They already do that in certain municipalities in England, and they are proposing cameras on the streets to monitor people depositing their refuse in the correct bins). You also want to police our behavior by expanding the nanny state and believing that the government can be better parents than the parents themselves. Etc. etc. etc.

There is some of that hyperbole coming from the left towards the right... I agree.
I think more accurate statements would be:
Right wingers don't support programs that assist the poor.
Right wingers don't support the full equality of women.
Some right wingers (purposefully or inadvertently) support polices that would make minorities a permanent underclass.
I have counted at least a dozen mischaracterizations of liberal positions in these posts. Point proven. Over and over again. It's almost like the right wingers compulsively need to prove my point my spinning lies about liberal positions.
And I do support food assistance programs. No lie there.

Both sides have tendency to characterize the other it is not a one way street. this is why running the country is so hard. if you misconstrues someone long enough it becomes the truth whether its true or not
