Airport Security: Loaded Gun Slips Past TSA Screeners - ABC News

The man, Farid Seif, was clearly not a terrorist because he didn't use the gun and reported the TSA failure as soon as he realized he had the gun with him. Still, one has to wonder if this was just TSA incompetence or if political correctness played a role in this. Mr. Seif is an Iranian-American and perhaps TSA workers were worried about being called "Islamaphobes" if they scrutinized him too closely.

Realize..the TSA has NEVER caught a terrorist.
Passengers have a better track record than the TSA.

This as been tested in France by officials.
They could get into the plane with any type of weapons, if I recall, they were stopped one time in ten attempts.

Can't sneak on a bottle of water, but a gun gets through just fine.

Too many gaping holes still in Airport Security. Just what if, this had been a terrorist who got on board, what then!

How many naked passengers aren't allowed on Mr Seif's flight? Wouldn't it be far more economical investment of federal $$$ to increase the # of passengers competent at self defense & concentrate more on actual baggage screening? Just a thought, if people are willing to see with clear eyes the lesson they've lost led around by false sense of security... United Airlines Flight 93 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
