"But the memo reveals that when the film was shown to a group of Cuban doctors, some became so "disturbed at the blatant misrepresentation of healthcare in Cuba that they left the room".
Castro's government apparently went on to ban the film because, the leaked cable claims, it "knows the film is a myth and does not want to risk a popular backlash by showing to Cubans facilities that are clearly not available to the vast majority of them.""
Too funny. I wonder if these Hollywood idiots that suck up to dictators could do their jobs freely if they lived in those countries.
I saw the deleted bit dealing with Norwegian health care, where I've worked for some time. Prrtty much everything he said made me think "Yes. but..."
As for Cuba, they got very good health care -for a third world country.
And they get damn good results -for the amount of money they put in. Which isn't a lot. But they can't compete with first world health care systems. Except possibly in results per dollar spent, cause they don't have lot of money to spend. Good preventive care though, thats probably where they get a lot of their efficiency from.
He's a moron. Communist countries spread propaganda to keep the people at bay and so they don't have an uprising. That is exactly what the Cuban gov't was doing when they showed the film.
Quote:
The Cubans embraced the film so much so it became one of those rare American movies that received a theatrical distribution in Cuba.
Oh looks like those paranoid BS-filled Cubans that live in Miami were telling the truth after all that must hurt people like aspiesmom, and the other socialists (authentic ones, not social democrats like 90% of the liberals on CD) on here that I forgot their names
boy are you on the ball with this one. I can imagine what some of the Fl Libs are saying about now?

hahaha boy this sure blows a hole in the healthcare myth doesnt it
It still does not change the fact that the American health care system (like the educational system) is fundamentally broken (especially when you compared the percent of GDP that is spent vs the ROI) and a ****-poor joke when compared the universal health care systems in the rest of the industrialized world...
So now you all are finding value in the leaks, when they support your agenda. Before, when they made America look stupid, everyone was all "zomg assassinate Assange".
