I didn't say she did. All I said was that our current trend of obesity is not sustainable and Michelle recognizes this.

As for the other part, I'm not talking about parents who can't afford to feed their kids nothing but crap either... I'm talking about parents whose cupboards are stocked with nothing but Fruit Loops/Fruit By The Foot/Gushers/Doritos/Lays/TV Dinners/Hot Pockets etc. There are plenty of parents who have no issues indulging their kids sweet tooth 100% of the time but can't be bothered to shoot hoops with them (or something). More than half of the kids in my school were obese. There is NO good reason for that to ever happen.

I wasn't so much disagreeing with you as I was saying Michelle isn't dissing parents. She's saying they need help. As a mom of grown kids, I agree.

Well I think she is just giving back what she was so unselfishly given from the Liberal Left from the time she was put in for VP.The Liberal Left is the crowing Kings for cheap shots and snide remarks!

Well michelle could lose a few pounds herself! There are many in the WH and that have been appointed to positions that could lose a few pounds too! How about they start with them! Show by example instead of trying to dictate do as I say not as I do!
The Gov needs to stay the h*ll out of our lives!

Actually I was referring to a time before Mrs. Palin gained the national spotlight due to the VP fiasco.

Her MO as the mayor of Wasilla was to pick fights, snark, and overspend.

I frankly think Michelle looks great. Now Sarah looks anorexic; I doubt she's eaten a S'More in her life, unless it was the only thing she ate one day.

So it's not what she meant? But she wrote it? And had many chances to say "no I don't need to say that." But she did.....I wonder why....

Oh, and your argument of she says it the "parents responsibility", but then in the end she kicks all the parents in the junk.....because, "we cannot just leave it up to the parents"....

And how do you know that is not what she meant? Are you a psychic?

She wrote it and approved it...had time to say no...I should not say that...

Build everyone up, and then kick straight in the junk. Hummmm....yep sounds like someone else who promised change?????????????????

Palin is such an idiot. I wish the media and reporters would grow a spine and start calling her and the other Rethugs out on their hypocrisy. Like for instance,

When she makes those comments, follow up, would do you feel the same way about Nancy Reagan's anti-drug campaign? How about Laura Bush's campaign on fighting illiteracy? It's funny how they are always talking about wanting government out of people's lives, but are so quick to use it for their own agenda, like pushing for same-sex marriage bans and against a woman's right to choose.

If they started doing that, then they would also have to do it the dems....and you know they just won't do that...the truth might actually be told....and we know how much that would hurt the dems....you know the truth....

I don't know exactly what M. O. meant any more than you do. However, I did listen to the entire speech, at least to that sentence, and that is my sense of it. Have you not heard her saying that ultimately, it's the parent's responsibility?

PLEASE quit twisting what I'm saying.
