They lobby for those who want to own guns and those who make guns.
So you believe that anyone out on the street should be able to buy a gun if they have the money including felons?
Why not ask permission, you ask permission to drive, to get a job, to buy a house, to buy a car, to open a bank account, to have a credit card, etc etc.
You only have to have "permission" to drive, if you do so on a public street. You can drive all you want without a license on your own property.
The only person you need permission from to get a job is the employer!!!
No permission is necessary to open a bank account or a credit card.
So Booboo will put extra regulatory requirements on licensced firearms dealers, supposedly in order to keep firearms from heading south of the border...but won't do a da*n thing to keep criminals from crossing into this country. Just flippin' great.
The President is merely window dressing in this matter. If he was serious about keeping firearms from going south, he would immediately dispatch the NG and seal the border tighter than a crab's ass.
Those who own guns would be.....citizens of the USA.
As to lobbying for gun manufacturers, could you provide evidence of this?
Yes,as long as the individual has paid his deb to society he is a free man in my opinion. If he is still a menace to society why would he be released at all?
Must I ask permission to speak freely or to worship my religion?
Well, if we keep electing Democrats, the answer will soon be "Yes", the the answer will be "NO".
That really dosn't fit the definition of a lobby group. The problem with lobbyists is that they use money to gain influence within the government through a quid pro quo action.
I suppose you could call a non monied group that tries to influence legislation a "lobby group" but that's not really how lobbyists are generally defined in the government. That is more a public interest group.
Is the AARP a lobby group, when it supposedly is just a bunch of old retired people???

A question I WISH anyone with a voice would ask is this...if you want to stop the flow of guns, wouldn't it make more sense to do that at the border?

You don't have a "right" to anything you listed except a firearm. We don''t need permission from the government for a right to be exercised. It is government's job to guarantee and protect our rights, not surpress them.
It says in the Constitution in the 2nd Amendment "the 'right' to keep and bear arms"... Where in the same document do you find the specific right to home ownership, driving automobiles, having a credit card, or a a job? Did I miss it?
"High capacity magazine" is such a vague term. The article mentions California, but we already have a ban on "high capacity magazines" as defined by the state as more than 10 rounds, therefore, this shouldn't apply in this state as there will be 0 sales of new firearms with high capacity magazines.
It's funny, when this issue is discussed in the media, they will say that a certain (usually high) percentage of traceable weapons can be traced back to the U.S. but they never mention what percentage of the weapons are actually traceable.
I wonder what they plan on doing about the containers filled with Ak 47s, RPGs and machine guns coming in from China and Eastern Europe.

Yes, I think I made that clear. The majority of the Americans would like the borders secured and the flow of goods, services, and people be channeled through legal ports of entry.
