I don't think such women/doctors should get away scot-free. My idea of forced sterilization would go against human rights, but prosecution of abortionists would hopefully make it harder to get an abortion for any old reason.

Yes, take away the unnatural 'right' to get some doc to destroy an innocent life with state-sanctioning and public-funding. Other than that it's her business, but there's a greater chance she'll wake up and see the madness that abortion is.
so obviously you talk out of both sides of your mouth and not truly pro life at all. you have no trouble with a woman gambling with her life in a back alley abortion, sounds like punishment for being sexual to me, having nothing really to do with the baby she would be aborting.

If it's not my body, then I think I have every right to get it the **** out of my body. If someone subdued me and forcibly implanted in me an already fertilized ovum from two total strangers, I'd have every right to get it out of my body. What's the difference between that and rape?
When it's possible to force a man to carry a fertilized ovum to term, I might consider a different stance on abortion.
As it is, no one has the right to tell me what to do with my body. It's the law. Period.
Your above description of an experience is very upsetting. If it happened to one of my three sisters or friend, I would try to help her to decide to carry to term and adopt. No one can pass ultimate judgement on another in an issue like this.
Because the incident would have caused outrageous dis-association to the real you, a decision or resolve cannot be ultimately accessed nor judged.
I believe, that the act of abortion is wrong. The forced pregnancey is criminal. To be honest, if it was a friend , I would say I hope you have the baby, but if you cannot my heart is with your pain in either.
