Complaining about it is like me complaining about the 'flooding' and the heavy rain here.
I agree, most people in this area understand the city is/was doing the best it could. But complaining is an art form here as well.

Your one article does not negate the many snows we've had that have never merited a whisper on the national news. Meanwhile, any big snowfall in NYC or DC is hyped to the limit. In point of fact, in some months, the average snowfall in NYC is higher than that of Denver.

You simply can't argue that Denver doesn't get more snow than NYC even your own data shows you get 2 times as much and because of this you have more of the infrastrucure in place to deal with snow than we do. Therefore when you do get the big ones it is easier for you to handle.

In addition your data shows one month where NYC out paces Denver in snow, and that is by 1 measly inch. The greatest average diffence is Denver walloping NYC by 8 inches!!

December, Jan, and Feb are very similar in both cities.

So in order for you to average 2 times as much snow as us you get hit harder in the other months and it snows earlier and later.

Again since you average twice as much snow as we do you are far more prepared to handle the big ones. That's why it ain't big national news when you get 2 feet of snow.

Yes. The remaining 75 people that still pay taxes in NY should be outraged.

It's news here. With 24 inches, the airport is closed, most offices are closed, all schools are closed, and it's a mess. However, no one else cares. BTW, that article you posted was about the December 06 blizzard which was a big one, even for here.
