Well, that really doesn't answer the question does it? Since you brought up the storm 50 years ago, I thought maybe some people had come forward and claimed a slowdown. If not, it's a moot point. Its amazing that unionized whistle blowers are dismissed out of hand too.

Not the storm directly, but the inability of the EMTs/ambulance to get to those in distress, like the newborn that died, nine hours after 911 was called, because the streets were a total mess. Or the woman who died while waiting 3 hours for an ambulance, because the EMTs couldn't get through, or the other 3 month old little boy who died while waiting for an ambulance.
