I thought is was hilarious to see people jump up and down trying to credit GOP for creating 300 000 jobs in December. Thanks for the laughs.

No funnier than giving Obama a pass for 2 years of job deterioration.

Close to 20% of our fellow Americans are not laughing.

Laughter helps. You should try it sometime.

As for Obama, I didn't vote for him, but given the condition of the economy which he inherited, I think he has done just fine, if not great as president.

He has done an awful job and is a lousy President.

I disagree. Again, I didn't vote for him, and probably will not in 2012 either, but presidents are not rated based on the opposing party's opinion, but by how successful they are in accomplishing the tasks they set out to do. It may be hard for you to admit, but Obama has been rather successful gettinf things done. You keep talking about unemployment, but when you look at Bush last months when we were losing 700K jobs every month (and getting worse) you will see that after Obama became president, that trend was reveresed within months, and in 2010 we gained 1.1 million jobs. It is true that we still have high unemployment, but the fact ramains that it will continue to be the case for some years to come. Facts are facts.

You have not been following. A report came out on Wednesday saying we created 300 000 jobs in December, and all the Republicans here were jumping up and down screaming that it was because the "R" won the November election .

Facts are unemployment contunues apace. You seem to think that 700k job loss per month was likley to continue forever absent Obama. You are wrong. Shedding jobs is a regular feature of past recessions as is robust job growth resulting in a v shaped recovery. It is Obama's policies that have caused unemployment to continue to rise (please do not point to the recent dip since that is iclearly due to the discourged job seekers failling out). Very few, but die hard ideologues believe things are getting better. You have come to this board for the past 18 months saying things are getting better, they clearly are not.

Unemployment will continue to be high because of the government manipulation in the economy. Facts are facts.
Quit going back to the poisonous well looking to treat the symptom. Treat the cause, stop the government from manipulating the free market.
