Is this article right? That the masterful political maneuver dreamed up by Congressional Republicans - the reading aloud of the Constitution - was an incomplete reading, leaving out some very interesting parts?

If they can't get this right - a simple reading of the ENTIRE Constitution - how badly are they going to screw things up legislatively?

Never mind - it's a rhetorical question.

Notable passages of Constitution left out of reading in the House

They left out passages that have been removed by amendment.

What's the problem, exactly?

Yeah... the Republicans get a total pass on that. If the passages are no longer part of the Constitution (and they are not) why the hell should they have been read?

Funny...but it took the GOP taking over to actually read it...so who again really fears reading?

Since Congress apparently no longer reads bills, I'm not sure it would matter.

It's a stupid stunt meant to appeal to those out there that actually think the GOP cares more about the Constitution than someone else.

Maybe they did it to remind those in congress who they work for and how they should be considering the bills they make law.

Leaving out the 3/5ths of a human portions... how would that serve congress today?

Wall after wall panel of the Congress should be papered with the entire document so they have it all around them all of the time!
