The perfect words to soothe this nation after the venom and vile spewed across the airwaves on a daily basis. Thank you President Obama for bringing back the dignity to this country that is needed in this time of strife.
I had that same impression as well. That being said, there is definitely something very therapeutic about this - I am feeling uplifted and, for the moment, hopeful, hearing the President say that 'we can look for answers, but cannot use this as yet another occasion to turn on each other.'
Amen and amen.
Just heard that he was offered a seat on Air Force One, however he declined the opportunity to travel with the President to stay behind in D.C. to host a cocktail party. The report did stress that he had planned to leave the party before the President started speaking, so, it's all good.
