I like old Joe Arpaio about as much as any law officer I know of. Here he talks about mouthy Sheriff Dupnik and ends up defending the 2nd Amendment which he says many police chiefs don't agree with him about. At least Arpaio isn't inserting pure politics into his words like Dupnik has done for days.

Arpaio: Dupnik Should 'Shut Mouth' on Political Agenda in Tragedy

I think Dupnik's heart got the better of him. He didn't' think with his head and spoke totally off the cuff emotionally and what he said was totally out of line.

Public officials cannot allow emotions to get the better of them when they address the press.

He has had NO COACHING on etiquette when dealing with the press.

Joe Arpaio is easily one of the most despicable individuals in public office in our country. The irony of you stating that he isn't "inserting pure politics into his words" as he spins his criticisms of Dupnik into an argument against gun control should be pretty obvious. Why is he talking to Newsmax, an openly partisan site, about Dupnik if he thinks people should shut their mouths?

I think sheriff Arpaio is one of the ONLY honest law enforcement officials in this nation and he's going strictly by the book as he ALWAYS DOES!

Amazing how people choose to spin the truth!

lmao. If you do any reseach about Joe Arpaio and still think he's an honest law enforcement individual, the only one doing spinning is you.

The man governs by the rule of law.

I like his "John Wayne style" it works!

Post links to stories when he hasn't.

If he hasn't people like him he's still in office so I can't argue with the voice of the people.

Period.

Sheriff Dupnik's Character & Policies will dictated his fate
not even the 'MISGUIDED' liberals like being lied to

He made a choice to be political and now he will live
with that decision along with having to be accountable.

How did Dupnik insert "pure politics" into his words? You mean because he criticized Rush Limbaugh's rhetorical style? I don't recall hearing him making negative comments about Republicans or conservative politics.
