Why?

What makes it acceptible for our elected representatives and other politicians to use the murderous attack in Tucson to:

1) Viciously sling false accusations of correlation and causal relationships and responsibility at their opponents.

2) Put forward opportunistic legislation to further limit Constitutional rights (1st & 2nd Amendment) within days of reading and pledging to uphold same Constitution.

3) Fundraise inferring an opposing party's views are to blame for the bloodshed.

It is bad enough that the media whores from the networks and cable stations run down to Tucson to inject themselves into the story; but, what makes it acceptable for our elected representatives and politicians to do that and worse?

Are they anything more than vultures picking for pieces of meat amid the bloodshed and remains?

Meanwhile, families of victims not in the national spotlight grieve and bury their dead. Victims lay in the hospital fighting to recover. What of them? Is it not dispicably disrespectful to them?

It's because they all fall prey to Spotlight Fallacy.

For placing him in a specific idiology (Democraps/Repoopicans, etc), people can use it to insult that specific group.
"He's a *insert ideology* and thus they are all *insert negative qualities*." Add a "Vote for me because I think nothing like him" addendum for politicians.

For creating new laws, people look at his mental health problems and his usage of a firearm and make conclusions that new laws must be made to prevent this from happening again. I can only imagine the new laws should he have used a home-made flamethrower that resembled a dog.

Because WE ask them to do it. WE require them to do it. WE threaten them when they don't do it. WE listen to the echo chamber saying WE should push them to do it.

Why do we tolerate politics in the first place? Because we are human and stupid

Most people have not tolerated it and are looking at the Left with a new level of sheer disgust.

Got stats? Polls? any factual data at all?

The "left".... better pay attention to the reactions to Palin's little "I am a Victim/Blood Libel" speech....

Why not just move past this issue? It's been going on since Saturday, and it already feels like a year. Let it go!

Sheriff Dupnik saw an opportunity to push an agenda on
a national scale...We all saw it

And he continues to do so !
