We get it, you either want to wow us with your shock factor (which isn't working, because frankly not as many people care about your opinions as you probably think) or your just trolling to get a reaction. Both equally pathetic actions. Either way, how about you give it a rest?
I go with the op. If she blows her nose it will be news. My sympathy for politicians is not in the high range. The joke now though, it seems to me, is the shooter is alleged to have shot her. We can't just execute the trash and be done with it.
Am I the only one? Every time the news comes on we get the ghory details of the latest procedure they did to her. Really, I could care less. Tell us if she dies, otherwise, who cares.
Obviously, there are people who care enough about her to want to know her medical status. To those of us who never heard of her until she was shot, yes, it's a bit tedious, but we can just turn the page or change the channel. I am one who never heard of her before, and I do hope she recovers, but I'm not one for the details of medical procedures, either. Anybody's.
Ask yourself, if this person was not a congressman would we be hearing about the trachiotemies and brain functions at the top of the hour every hour? I think not...
Ask yourself, if she weren't a Democrat - would you care more?
Really, as someone said above, tired of Lindsay Lohan as well. It's just American style news coverage. I'm American, but when I was living overseas, my Brit buddies let me know right away how propagandized we were, and suggested I start reading other English language papers NOT from American sources--changed my life!
Not to say the English don't overhash certain events (current royal wedding comes to mind), but isn't there other things to report on that merit news worthy information rather than the recovery of a politician that did, to her good fortune, survive and attack, but is it really news worthy this late in the game? If it were the President, I could understand. Americans and America really lost its sense of priority I think, sometime in the mid 70s-the media just got out of control after Watergate.
