Starbucks to roll out biggest drink size yet - Business - Consumer news - Food Inc. - msnbc.com

U.S. convenience stores, which have been taking on restaurant chains with an expanded selection of low-cost, quick-serve fare, for years have sold fountain drinks in large sizes, including 32 ounces and 64 ounces.

*************************************
A gallon of milk is 128 oz. Hee! Hee! That's a 1/2 gallon of soda. Potentially 800 calories from sugar. There are 774 calories in a cup of sugar.

Would'nt it be hilarious if they had a put up a picture by the drink dispenser with like 32oz = 1/2 cup sugar, 64 oz = full cup of sugar?
And under that, a picture of a dude eating a cup of sugar.

ROFL!

I know, inactivity plays a part in it as well, but come on.

Edit, deleted pic.

I can't even get a true "small" anymore. They are now using the medium cups for a small drink.
I've gotten to order the kids drink when I want something as that is the old small size.

You Americans should eat more fresh food then. It's not only healthier, it also tastes better, don't you think?

Here's a pic of what a "regular" drink looks like in Japan.
Note the position of the food on the tray. Dang. My tray usually looks like it was blitzkrieged when I get it. Actually, I haven't eaten fast food for like a month. I think longer than a month.

No thank you.

We'll just stick with what works, aspartame.

No wonder I've severely cut down on my ingestion of sugary drinks and soda...

The only problem is in America we have illegals ( my goof GUEST WORKERS) pick our fresh fruits and greens, out in the fields they don't provide a place to take a **** or a dump. Even better they get them from fields in the fertile highlands of Mexico where they meet all Government Standards, the government of The Estados Unindos de Mexico that is.

Then buy locally grown produce, but it means you have to adjust to eating what's in season. It doesn't work for lettuce in December, but...it eliminates the ecoli issue.

Farms don't have to pay minimum wage, and you're not gonna get any benefits picking produce. What citizen is gonna want that job?

Some of us do. Millions of us don't fit the fat profile that you see on TV and in the news.
