WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama plans a government-wide review of federal regulations, aiming to eliminate rules that stymie economic growth.

In an article published in the opinion pages of The Wall Street Journal, Mr. Obama said he intends to issue an executive order initiating a review to "make sure we avoid excessive, inconsistent and redundant regulation," focusing on rules that "stifle job creation and make our economy less competitive." He also suggested future regulations must do their job "while promoting economic growth."
The move is the latest effort by the White House to repair relations with corporate America, hoping to spur investment by the nation's largest multinationals and reduce unemployment.

It won't work.

This sounds like nothing more than Al Gore's "Reinventing Government" or any of another half-dozen attempts at this. It never worked in the past, it won't work now. They won't get rid of anything of importance.

Nothing Obama says can be relied upon. He's done.

I second this!

Obama has shown he is inept and a narcissist. He has already done irreparable damage to this country and is trying to do more. His words hold no value.

What is he going to do find a way to lie about the massive job losses under his watch?

2 years later he now is talking about jobs. A little late I would say.

Maybe he can help the record homeless, record people who have lost their homes by giving back the money he stole from them with the failed stimulus.

You actually believe he means it?

Really?

If so, I've got some swampland to sell you.

Let's see if the leftist's who screamed the loudest about Bushs' use of his Executive powers latch onto this.

Or, if the righties who have done the same thing to Obama over other issues rush to his defense, since this seems to be right in line with the GOP's position on corporations.
