They lacked the vote numbers.

About 7.8 million Floridians with pre-existing health problems could lose coverage or face higher insurance costs if the new health-care law is repealed, the Obama administration warned on Tuesday.
The estimate released by Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius reflects an administration backlash to repeal efforts in the House, where debate on the new law begins on Tuesday. A vote is expected later this week.

Democrats, backed by AARP, launched a lobbying effort on several fronts, including a press conference scheduled later Tuesday by Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Weston, who will argue that repeal would have devastating consequences.
Show me the stats that show 7.8 million non-insured have signed up for insurance since the Obama health bill has been passed.

8000 have actually signed up, across the nation. The prediction was that close to 400,000 would sign up by the end of 2010.

8,011 - The number that actually did.
Here you go, HHS website, state by state, how many have signed up.

There is not over 7 million signed up - those are "potential" numbers I guess.

The total, for all of the US, is approx 8000 that have signed up.

I read the article. A lot of unsubstantiated assertions were made.

It was not written from a non-biased point of view.

If so many are going to loose how come so few have signed up?

This is the push from the WH, the report is from the WH, this is the propaganda they will attempt to use to turn public sentiment against repeal.

I want to see where 1/2 of Florida's 16 million population didn't have insurance, before any of Obamacare went into effect?

I'm ok with that. Insurance companies should not be forced to accept pre-existing conditions. They make money off of mitigating risk--they shouldn't be told they HAVE TO take someone high risk.
So if someone got a serious disease that wasn't as a result of a lifestyle choice, then their only alternative is to die or go bankrupt? The pre-existing conditions rule is the reason why most insurance companies disgust me, and I would never stick up for them.
