How do you explain thousands of EX-Homosexuals who turned away from that lifestyle and are HAPPY???
Oh. My. God. THOUSANDS? of "ex gays" compared to... tens of millions (a hundred million or more ++++ over the whole human population) of gay people who tell you they don't choose and cannot?

I wonder if all the "ex homosexuals" would be open to presenting their computer harddrives for forensic examinations.... to see if they really ARE "cured".... sounds like a great expose or research project.

But alas, this argument continues on because so many people in America (and on City-Data), don't understand the difference between sexual ORIENTATION and sexual ACTS.

A gay man who stops having sex with other men is still a GAY man who now either has NO sex, or has sex with WOMEN. Orientation is what you're attracted to. People CAN have sex with the opposite or same sex without being attracted to same. All those lesbians in "straight" porn that straight men like watching are usually just in it for the money, and will go home to their boyfriends at night.

I doubt any homosexual living a straight life is truly "happy" just made the choice to live a life where they are more accepted by their family or church.

Your question is flawed to begin with, since heterosexuality is normal. I know that's not PC to say. But it's TRUTH.

You still haven't answered my question, though. How can you have EX-Gays? Because they DO EXIST!

It's also ignorant and belies a lack of education and nuance, because your definition of normal appears to equal = what the majority are.

Under your definition, Asians should be entitled to run around saying that they're the only "normal" humans, and everyone else is ABnormal?

We don't know if they truly exist. We can only take their word that they no longer have attraction to the same sex. Again, I wonder how many would be willing to submit their harddrives to forensic testing (to see if there's any late night visits to gay porn sites), or undergo scientific research that can measure arousal patterns quite well.

Funny, though, that you are willing to accept the WORD of (supposedly) thousands of ex-gays who tell you that they can and did change their ways, while MILLIONS will tell you they did NOT choose! That means you only hear what you WANT to hear.

BTW: Tons of ex gays "go back" and lots others will tell you the "ex gay" movement is completely FRAUDULENT and FULL of closet cases!
