I agree- Carlin failed to look at the situation objectively. Being a liberal, George Carlin chose to ignore liberal political forces, particularly the trial lawyer's association and Bill Clinton's trade policies, which have neutered America. No liberal can face these facts, as they are uncomfortable realities that shake one's core beliefs.

I have never seen this clip before, but it perfectly describes the "jobless recovery" and the privatize the gains, socialize the losses approach to this meltdown. The house always wins, and big money runs the joint. They always win, and when they screw up, we pay. Yet, the dittoheads will do incredible contortions to try to defend them and there paid minions. Just amazing.

He never realized that the nation was bought and sold by the trial lawyer's association and thier ownership of the democratic party. That is the real oligopoly in the US and an impediment to social mobility and free commerce. The US has always been a nation in which a poor man could rise to become rich through education and hard work. Only losers and the lazy could complain about access in the US. Want to find a villian? It is not industry- it is the trial lawyer's association and thier democratic puppets.

I watched it with Matthews & Maddow ear plugs in and Carlin sounded like BECK slamming Government and the inter workings, of how you have been fooled. BECK has stolen some of Carlin's work!

I think you are saying what you want to hear. This video seems pretty damn liberal to me. Seems like he was calling out the corporations who held the government in their pockets, Democrat or Republican alike.
It is time for Americans to step and loosen the grip of these corporate masters. We need to purge our government of TEA baggers, Republicans and Democrats who moronically want to give more money to these guys.
We need to go back to our ways of taxing them and put that money into education, infrastructure and public health. That is what this country needs, not more rich chodesuckers.

The only misguided one is you. USA has been long done as the "Poor man can get rich" nation. The big dogs own all the money and they want to cut education funding for the "sake of the economy." There is little or no chance of climbing of the latter unless you kiss major ass. That is the only way to get up in this pathetic country.
