What?... Rush Limbaugh is the one who's making the shooter out to be a rationalizing liberal...
Sarah Palin is done... All hope of her gaining new supporters is out the window...

Where is this evidence? I'm sure the rest of us would like to "read the evidence" as well. So, where are your links?

Do you have any idea how many people you are offending with this post? Liberalism and conservatism---the yang and yin of politics---has worked together just fine in this country from its founding...until just recently when the right started their campaign of labeling liberalism as a "disease." This is the kind of hate talk that needs to be dialed down if we ever have a chance of getting our country back to a point where we can have civility again.
I'd say a lot of people are offended by that statement, but if the shoe fits ...

The fact is, I believe the poster was being somewhat facetious, and doesn't really believe mental illness is directly linked to a specific political ideology, though most politicians are crazy as loons. But to be honest, it is "extremism" that reflects mental defect, and certainly a predominate segment of the "so called" liberals are indeed extremists with radically extreme non-liberal views. That's right, modern liberalism has no roots in classic liberalism ... in fact, it's more of an extreme opposite.

Contrary to classical liberalism which was practiced by the founding fathers, and reflected an overriding belief in liberty and personal sovereignty, inalienable rights of the individual, absolute private property, and limited government .... modern liberalism is more often championing the exact opposite views.

Modern "progressive" liberalism was born in the early 1900's, often referred to as New Deal liberals. A more blunt and accurate name better suited to the ideology is a Statist/Socialist that supports big government, and government control over social and economic activity. Directly contrary to classic liberalism most often associated today with Libertarianism, and to an extent, conservatism. That's right, conservatives are more liberal than today's left wing socialists, in the classic interpretation.

So if today's liberals don't even know who and what they actually are, that's an excellent starting point for mental illness. When one's views and pet causes are self destructive, that too is a clear sign of mental illness. And one can simply take a look at the "causes" to which progressive liberals support to find a clearly self destructive undercurrent. One of the best recent examples of this was demonstrated in the support of the building of a Mosque near ground zero, NYC. I suspect this had a lot to do with the well established hatred of Christianity by the leftists liberals, but aligning themselves with Muslims can be defined as nothing short of insanity, given the hostility of Islam toward homosexuality, believing such conduct should be punished by execution ... when homosexuality is a hallmark cause of the progressive liberals. Go figure?

The hostility exhibited by progressives toward the constitution, and particularly the 1st and 2nd Amendments is well established ... the left always attempting to restrict free speech because to allow people to speak freely might offend someone (usually a progressive liberal as they are so easily offended). The only time progressive liberals value free speech is when they are speaking out in support of aberrant views and behaviors, otherwise, everyone has the right to shut up. And we know how fervently anti-2nd Amendment the leftists are, don't we?

So, take any issue ... the crazier it is, the more likely the progressive liberal will support it ... championing the rights of homosexual transvestites to marry and adopt children, while condemning traditional family values of heterosexual Christians ... all the way to supporting the one religion that if given the power to do so, would execute the majority of progressive liberals for their behavior.

So if you find the insinuation of liberal mental illness offensive, you need look no further than the mirror to find a solution.

Stop championing crazy ideas, and people might stop thinking you're crazy!! How simple is that?

What a bunch of poppycock, driveling blarney! Too bad your thought processes aren't as well developed as your elegant writing style.

Who decides what "heated" is?

In this great country, I am FREE to say what I wish to you. If I say something that offends you, and didn't use vulgarity or threaten you directly, the fact that you are in fact OFFENDED is on YOU.
