Should have been more specific. The nightly newscast of ABC, NBC as well as the morning shows. Haven't seen it on.
Are you trying to tell us that you watch the nightly and/or morning newscasts on ABC, ABC, and NBC? I'm not buying it. I'm betting heavily that you only watch things on the major networks if they are reposted on Fox pundits shows and on Rush's website.
The so-called doctor in this thread---he needs his license revoked---was acting ILLEGALLY. Late term abortions are not on demand and the way he took advantage of those desperate immigrant and low income women is shameful. This has nothing to do with a woman/couples choosing to abort within the limits of the law. If abortions were to be made illegal again, unethical and money hungry abortionists like this doctor would become the norm again. You will never stop abortions just by making it illegal. I, for one, don't want to go back to a time where our daughters/sisters/friends/mothers die in back alleys while getting a procedure with no oversight from the medical community.
You are very fortunate that your mother never made such a choice.
I take it you know nothing about late-term abortion, and are not prepared to educate yourself about it. Perhaps you'd care to volunteer some time at a clinic that performs these services and see the absolute pain and anguish parents go through making this choice. These are not performed on cute wittle babies cause mom wants to wear a bikini, these are perfomed on women with serious health issues, or in cases with severe fetal afflictions.
I was born with club feet, which I have been told can be shown now by ultrasound. My brother was born with crooked teeth. My sister was born with vision problems. I guess I would have been a prime candidate for sure, maybe my brother & sister too, if they could see their problems ahead.

comparing these minor ailments to the complex medical issues late term abortion addresses is demeaning at best to any woman who has ever had to face such a choice.
It's a ca$h cow for the GOP, I wouldn't expect much action, then what issue would they have?
Congress cannot overturn Supreme Court deciscions. That is why abortion is still legal. Until another Supreme Court decision reverses itself, it will remain legal. The only thing Congress can do is regulate peripheral issues, like government funded abortions for the poor.

I had two shirt-tail relatives---died now---who were born without bones in their legs and they needed to be amputated. If that had happened when abortion was legal and ultrasound was available, I don't think it's anyone's business but the parents if they had decided to abort under those heart-breaking and difficult conditions. Parents who abort for medical reasons don't do it over stuff like crooked teeth, club feet and vision problems.

My soul would have been born in another body according to my spiritual beliefs.
Everyone has been mixing up which term they are using now...seems some people forget and call them babies...
I think after 24 weeks or when the Fetus becomes viable we can call the unborn child a baby.
Looks human, can cry like a human, can grow and learn like a human I would say it became a human and more than a few cells.
This late term abortion stuff is questionable at best. But the partial birth abortion is horrendous. Stab a puppy in the brain with scissors and you go to jail. I think they call it cruelty to animals....
My answer, better to be aborted than to live a life of hunger and constant suffering.
I believe in quality of life......not quantity.
Thousands of American children go to bed hungry and suffering every night......why add to the problem?
Have you even noticed that there are not enough jobs for the people we have now? Have you noticed we can't supply basic health care for the people we have now? Then.....add thousands of unwanted children dumped on the system. What kind of life are they going to have?
Why don't you try going even one day without food before you spout off about how it is no big deal? Try eating just one, small meal a day for a week. While you are at it......spend a night sleeping in your car too. Now, imagine that is how your life is EVERY DAY.
