Wallace: You also write this on the screen: "The secular socialist machine represents as great a threat to America as Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union once did." Mr. Speaker, respectfully, isn't that wildly over the top?

Gingrich: No, not if by America you mean....Just listen to President Obama's language. He gets to decide who earns how much. He gets to decide when it's too much.

Part of what we’re trying to do in “Saving Freedom” is just show that where we are, we’re about where Germany was before World War II where they became a social democracy. You still had votes but the votes were just power grabs like you see in Iran, and other places in South America, like Chavez is running down in Venezuela. People become more dependent on the government so that they’re easy to manipulate. And they keep voting for more government because that’s where their security is. When our immigrants get here, they’re worried, because they see it happening here.
- Jim DeMint

I guess that was okay? Trust me, I couldn't care less about political correctness. In fact, it eliminates any chance of having a constructive discussion. Calling each other Nazis and engaging in why they did so, just might reveal, to a LOT of people what Nazis were about, their political tactics and ideologies.

Nazi's were German Socialists. The only difference between Russian socialism, USA Socialism and German socialism in the turn of last century, was Russian socialism wasn't racist as the other two forms.

Beck looks at USA Progressive movements and the Socialism they bring to the plate.
Because Progressive is the same exact form of government the Nazi's used, is not Beck calling the USA progressives Nazi's.
At the turn of the last century in the Progressive era, both Nazi and Progressive were the same thing, just different names in different languages, but the same intent.

You don't have to call Progressives, Nazi's. That was done long ago when the Progressives didn't deny it at all and were actually proud to be a Nazi, called Progressive in the USA.

I remind you that Obama let his minions tear Palin and the Right up for a few news cycles first, then he called for civility at the memorial "pep rally" (with tee shirts, slogans, and everything!) well after the damage was done.

An utter and total phony Chicago street politician at work.

In the last week? So, you are now claiming it was alright until last week? But at least one link for you anyway. The rest, I'm sure you're capable of using teh internets.

The president called for civility last week. So lets keep the discussion about the time period from the call for civility.
So afte rthe presidents call to be civil who has not been civil?

You may hold your breath for it, I won't. If you actually believe we should, you certainly haven't acted on it. So, let us not kid ourselves. A call for civility won't change anything, even temporary.

Politics is played on uncivil grounds, that is the reality and I don't expect anything different. Very few politicians are capable of what President Obama is asking for. That makes it not only "too much to ask for and expect" but something that simply won't happen.

I've repeatedly said, political correctness only masks inherent problems that are bound to survive and show up with full effect. Only that we think that not talking about it somehow makes it okay.

Maybe, instead of looking for examples of incivility on both sides - and there have been, to be sure - we should be calling out these people and asking them to reconsider their words. Not "neener neener, so much for civility", but "did you realize how your words affect other people?". People are going to go over the line, calls for civility or no. We need to make them aware of what they are doing.

Is there a chance that Obama was talking about "the enemy" being civil and not his own group? I think so, but then I am not a supporter of Obama and his party.
