The 2010 SAT college entrance test results are in. Historically, back in the day when I went to MIT, the common wisdom was that Asians scored better in math, but were disadvantaged because of the verbal scores.

Asian and Jewish mothers tend to get on the back side of their kids to do well in school and the SAT.

To me, cultures that value education display intelligence levels that are superior to cultures that do not. In Western societies, at least. Hence, Jewish & Asian excellence.
If I am not mistaken, don't Ashkenazi Jews and SE Asians contain the highest average IQ's of any group worldwide?

I thought it was Northern Asians, but it has been a while since such info was published due to certain groups not registering so well. I believe it was 105 average.
I agree and disagree. Yes, they demand excellence. I also think they are smarter, on average. However, the two are related. With good parenting, a kid will tend to test better and to eventually improve their intelligence.
I find it quite interesting that many are glorifying the mental/emotional abuse that some of these child are subjected to on a daily basis. The Asian-American quest for "superiority" leaves many scars
I will take their scars over the ghetto culture in this country, which provides no incenentive to do anything for ones self, other than sling drugs and hang out.

Yes -- and also they are superior to other Americans and of course other immigrants.
What's their secret? They don't refuse to ever learn English, they don't tend to have children so they can access the many welfare handouts. They don't use racism as an excuse for not doing well.
But also they have no history of slavery in this country, they come over here well off already. They never faced any obstacles here.

I wouldn't necessarily. Far too many of the Asians students flip out, commit suicide. A couple recent incidents involving Korean immigrant students and mass killings.
Some people come out of the ghetto just fine.
The real goal in life isn't money, it's happiness.
