I can understand disagreeing with his policies, as you always will, but not a lot of evidence that he's overwhelmed by the job. He seems to handle everything and has passed legislation that other presidents have tried for many decades to pass. That doesn't suggest he's overwhelmed.

You're saying nothing different than liberals said about Reagan in 1983. Republicans swept into power in 1980. 2 years later one of the biggest shifts in power in favor of the Democrats pushed them out and everyone though Reagan was a 1-term joke.

Anyway, we've been hearing about the big collapse / double dip since Obama took over. This forum was flush with predictions that the Fall of 2009 we would see it all fall apart. Then it kept getting pushed back, but the anti-Obama kept insisting it was coming.
You also don't seem to understand that recovering from a crisis of this magnitude takes time. Imagine if Obama didn't pass the stimulus that shored up a lot of those state and city governments you're complaining about. They would have gone into bankruptcy much sooner.
The reality is, as the economy recovers, tax revenue will increase. Hopefully it will happen quickly enough to keep these entities solvent. All signs are positive, though, that we're on the right track.
