People wanted to see/hear what O'Donnell and Maddow would have to say about Olbermann. If Olbermann had just gone on vacation, or a temp leave of absence, and ODonnell had filled in for him, there wouldn't have been a jump in ratings.

Try as you might, you simply cannot negate the reality that Olbermann was responsible for turning MSNBC around and RAISING THEIR RATINGS. Twist it any way you want, you convince no one of your position other than those who already have a seriously negative bias about liberals and Olbermann.

dear gawd! You really should do some serious research on the word "hatred" and manifestatons of the same! The word has been so overused that it barely means anything anymore.
If only "dozens" of people watch MSNBC, why are the right getting into the biggest circle jerk of the year? If no one watches Olbermann in their eyes, then really no one will care that he's gone

I watched Olbermann. I threw up in my mouth almost very time. What a junk reporter. That is why he is gone. If he was a good reporter, they could have worked through the differences.
I am curious to see if Comcast will turn the progressive propaganda machine (MSNBC) into a real news source. I guess that they are starting at the top of the crap pile. Chris Mathews can't be sleeping too well.
