There have been a number of occasions when we've had to say thanks but no thanks, we'd rather stand on our own because your shoulders are old, decrepit and riddled with arthritis. Just say'n.

There is no simplistic answer.

Bachmann is right on the mark.

The truth cannot be disputed.
You're talking nonsense now, not truth; many of the Founders were anti-slavery but many were for the maintenance of the status quo and even held slaves of their own.

The work of thousands of abolitionists, some militant, is wiped away by the ignorant pseudo-historical analysis Bachmann spews from her mouth, and the notion that the founders freed the slaves is exactly the kind of simplistic answer you're complaining about.

This line of argumentation is less credible than saying Barbara Bush started the War in Iraq because she gave birth to W. You need a lesson in causation alongside your lesson in history.

There's no need to get snippy.

Just because you don't like the person giving the message doesn't mean they're wrong.

The truth cannot be debated.

So, you're in the "what the old, rich white guys wrote don't matter anymore" camp, right?

The Truth will always be debated by reasoned, concerned men, indeed.

I see the massive copyright violation you admire so much is still up. I guess they're not really *that* important to the mods.

That's a bit of a leap of logic. Some of the things that "the old rich white guys" wrote (by the way, most of the Framers were rather young, the older Founders were doing things that they thought were more important) does still matter, however a good bit had to be thrown into the trash can.

Oh, how did I miss that!?!

Yeah a good ole boy from West Texas used some rather racist language. Who cares? LBJ could say ****** until the cows come home as long as he signed the Civil Rights Act.

PS - If progressives were using naughty words, what do you suppose real racist were saying?

She up now. Sounds like she is going to rile up the troops,"Get going! Remember when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor"
