Well you mustn't know many if you think the US military sucked in Iraq/Afghanistan on the same level as the Arabs shown in the vid....

The companies should do great...might even bring the price down so the US military doesn't have to pay as much for the stuff.
Government doing the bidding? Corporate welfare it is.

On top of it, in a free enterprise, suppliers would be openly selling arms even to Cuba and Iran.

Incorrigible.

We've come a full circle. I could repeat my very first post here, but since it exists, you could start over and read it again.

Seems your very first post has little to do with selling arms to all....

Exactly my thought. Tunisia, Egypt, and now Yemen. Not that we should forget Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Some ex-Soviet, and oil-rich, countries like Turkmenistan just may be next. It is also how Fidel Castro gained power in Cuba.

That would be, if you assume meddling didn't involve that. Just money, leading/supporting wars...

Never happened with any of those countries, right?

Sigh....

Follow along.

Companies that produce conventional weapons would be free to sell those weapons(free trade) to all nations.

There is no loaning of money by governments,no leading wars,no supporting wars....well except maybe to sell weapons to the participants....whoever has the cash.

And the USA has done none of that? Let us start with an argument from the real world... CENTO. You will find two very familiar names there (two, of the few, listed in my first post).

We were discussing hypothetical scenarios....

I thought that was obvious.

Yes,the current and past method of doing things was foolish, hence the reason it doesn't work well....

Okay,I think the USA should not be allied with any other nation on earth.
US companies should be free to trade with any other nation or government on earth.

But can you blame them? They probably got tired of watching countries in Africa and South America having all the fun.
