That's disgusting. I've killed a pest squirrel or two, but to turn the killing of an animal into a game for your enjoyment is just plain sick. These people need serious help (as do the people who seem to find humor and enjoyment in watching it).
I think it's cruel. Here is how I came to that decision:
There is a possibility that the animal could be injured, and could suffer a slow, painful death, or just a painful life. It's not the fault of the animal that it was born, and that it's job is to do what its instinct tells it to do. Injuring it and letting it live in pain would not be humane.
The physics involved, The animal probably bounces. They fall out of trees all the time and are built for hitting the ground at terminal velocity (low because of high aerodynamic drag). Watching the video it had arrested its spin before landing. But it probably is still cruel to send it flying like that.
