The new chairman of the Republican National Committee is being candid about the GOP's financial troubles, issuing a statement that the party is $23 million in debt -- more than what a new campaign finance report says.

lol... And Republican leaders accuse Democrats of having a "spending problem"?

Do they still have the nerve to call themselves the party of fiscal responsibility?

If they can't even keep their National Committee out of debt then why should we trust anything they have to say about reducing the National Debt?

Republicans are going to go on the same spending binge that the Democrats are doing. The GOP is hardly any better than the Democrats. The GOP is still like composed of 90% of Bush holdovers. As the saying goes, meet the new boss, same as the old boss

From your linked article;
Quote:
The Democratic National Committee was about $15 million in debt as of December, the Associated Press reported.
It would seem neither party is all that fiscally responsible.

Nice try, but it's Republican leaders who have been lecturing the country about fiscal responsibility. It's one of their central arguments. When you're $23 million in debt, I think there's a bit of a credibility problem.

Another swing and a miss

Mostly because of the promises made by Barry Soetoro (a.k.a. Barack Hussein Obama)

"I promise 100% transparency in my administration."

"I promise NO NEW TAXES on a family making less than $250K a year."

"I will allow 5 days of public comment before I sign any bills."

"I will remove earmarks for PORK projects before I sign any bill."

"I will end Income Tax for seniors making less than $50K a year"

"I'll put the Health Care negotiations on CSPAN so everyone can see who is at the table!"

"I'll have no lobbyists in my administration"

Not to mention his merry little band of incompetent secretaries and czars and what they are costing America

“When you have to make a choice and don't make it, that is in itself a choice.” --William James

Oh so has Obama. And he signed all those spending bills.

It's both sides UM..both sides.

Can't even keep their own party piggy banks in balance and we let them play with the US budget ?

There are credibility problems with all politicians.

Ah, yes. The old line about "both sides are guilty". That's what people say when they know they can't defend themselves. They deflect and try to disperse the blame.

Again, the point is that Republicans have been lecturing about spending, yet their own party organization is in more debt than ever. Democrats have nothing to do with the Republican National Committee's budget.
