I imagine that might well be the case. Everything he wants to do depresses consumer confidence - income tax hikes, energy taxes, bailouts and giveaways, card check - plus the big increases in health insurance costs his policies have caused. All those people he derided for clinging to their guns and religion are now clinging to the few dollars they have left in their wallets...

Obama never said anything about guns or raising taxes for the middle class... deriding people about religion?... let's stop making stuff up now...
