Ayn Rand. That's who. It totally invalidated everything she claimed to believe.

Oh I don't think there is a thing wrong with her collecting social security and medicare. The point is that she preached constantly that such things as social security and medicare should not exist and that it was bad for people to have these "crutches" on which they could lean. But then, perhaps this just proves her theory of enlightened self-interest?

Hate to say it but it probably wasn't a bad thing for your landscaper friend.

I do remember the Eliabeth Smart case and the man who kidnapped her was a homeless man that Eliabeth's mom had given a job around their home.

I only agree throwing your cigarette on the ground is a nasty habit. Use an ash tray or something. And you better not be throwing them out the window of your car either You give fellow smokers a bad name.
You dirty, no good litterer. Now, what were you saying
about homeless people...

I get your point but I don't believe in gov't programs but since I am forced into paying SS I will certainly have no guilt in collecting when the time comes.

Of course by then the system will most likely be broke.

All it takes is one Bernie Madoff. But our guy is way to smart to fall for that.....

You are cruel.......your co-workers are correct......do you pull the wings off of flies so you can delight in their struggles/agony?????

Here's another motto for you.......Judge Not....Lest Ye Be Judged Yourself. Simply put .....You do NOT know their life circumstances...NOR have you walked in any man's shoes but your own..

The point was/is that the OP is an Ayn Rand devotee.
