Marriage as an original institution is a way to handle the control of ....property.

Samurai were gay. Think abut that when you watch the 47 Ronin.
Pederasty - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think if gays want to enjoy the hell that is divorce, then by all means, why not? Straight people been doing that **** for years. Time for them to get on that gravy train of love and despair.

P.S., homosexuallity is also noted in nature, so it's as God intended. God never makes mistakes.

Gee, let's have another anti-gay thread!
There are already dozens of threads on this topic and views aren't going to change.

The same posters start the same anti-gay threads every few months.

And every few months, we post the history of marriage; how there are gays in nature; etc. to no avail.

It seems redundant, but as long as there are hypocritical lawmakers spouting off hate, we need to talk about it. Everyone needs to let them know this will not be accepted. As Billy Joel said, "We Didn't Start the Fire."

The problem this presents for married heterosexuals is that by gays associating their unnatural sexual relationships with marriage, they will undermine and delegitimize the institution of marriage thereby depriving heterosexuals of the legitimacy marriage presently provides their relationships. Marriage will be defined as a committed relationship between a man and a woman who engage in natural vaginal intercourse and males who engage in unnatural anal intercourse with each other.

By changing the definition of marriage (legally and otherwise), are we not effectively redistributing respectability from heterosexuals to homosexuals and redefining normal in such a way that commonly accepted standards of decency will be so loosely defined as to open the door to all sorts of deviant behavior?
What a load of hooie...

And in your apparent obsession with anal sex (which not all gay males engage in- and many straight couples do) you forgot lesbians....yet again.

Guess what? Life is not just about sex.

And gays (and lesbians -don't forget all those lesbian moms) want to get married generally for the same reasons straights do.

So let them marry--as long as they follow the exact same parameters for marriage that I'm required to.

The definition of marriage would remain the same as a legal contract in essentials, as I understand it. The religious aspect would hopefully remain the same for those who wish that.

More straight couples has anal sex by virtue of there being more straight people in the world, and therefore I am not entirely sure how that argument leads to to the conclusion that gay marriage shouldn't happen. (There is also more to being gay than just sex, just as there is more to being straight that just sex.)

I don't see how a relationship between two consenting adults would lead to this any more that a relationship between two consenting straight people would lead to "deviant" behaviour.

And here's me saying to myself I'd stay away from the gay threads from now on

Apples are redefined to include pears.

The only reason I'd want to get married is so that my wife can get my social security I worked my butt off for, can inherit from me without a big rigamarole, can make life/death decisions for me without a buttload of paperwork, etc, etc.
