Also Schwarzennegger is not qualified to become president of the USA because of his foreign birth. Obama is NOT the only one this law applies to.

oof!!!!!...........

could you provide any proof of this? any at all?

........ besides an april fool's day joke from 2009?

the "obama attended occidental under a fulbright scholarship as an indonesian citizen" myth started as an april fool's day joke.......... and has eventually become a "fact" in the birther realm.

this is easily debunked. just do a web search for "indonesian citizenship requirements" and "minor renouncing US citizenship". obama has yet to be eligible for indonesian citizenship.

arnold can not run because he's a naturalized citizen. he was neither born here nor were his parents US citizens. neither jus soli or jus sanguinis.

both the SCOTUS and congress currently lean toward the theory of:

citizen at birth = natural born citizen.
naturalized = not.

It's because of the birth requirement for US presidents.
Actually Romney could and did run. He didn't get far because of a statement about being brainwashed in regards to Viet Nam. Nixon subsequently won the nomination and the Presidency.

Not according to a very long trail of historic evidence, beginning with John Jay's letter to Washington and continuing with Bingham, the father of the 14th Amendment:
Quote:
"Every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen."
A Century of Lawmaking for a New Nation: U.S. Congressional Documents and Debates, 1774 - 1875

Several Supreme Court Cases since the ratification of the 14th Amendment acknowledge citizenship claims based on being born geographically within the United States, but only recognize the 'natural born citizen' status of children who were born to U.S. citizens. The cases affirm merely the status of 'citizen' to the children born to aliens [The Slaughterhouse Cases 83 U.S. 36 (1873), Minor v. Happersett 88 U.S. 162 (1874), Elk v. Wilkins 112 U.S. 94 (1884), Wong Kim Ark Case, 169 U.S. 649 (1898), Perkins v. Elg, 307 U. S. 325 (1939)].

His father was not a U.S. citizen at the time of his birth. Please refer back to Bingham's (father of the 14th Amendment) quote:
Quote:

The problem is his father's foreign allegiance at the time of Chester Arthur's birth.

it was obviously a figurative statement, not to be taken completely literally.

John Jay's letter is merely a letter. It is not law. Jay wasn't even a Framer. It also does not define natural born citizen.

This is, of course, a bald faced lie.
