Mandatory Arabic Classes Coming To Mansfield « CBS Dallas / Fort Worth

These "language of the future" classes are MANDATORY.

Only 5 schools across the country so far, but it's a start.

You can delete this thread as another poster put one up with a more "catchy" title..."Arabic-the language of the future."

Even though my post was ahead of theirs,I like their title better.

According to the linked article, five school districts (not schools) were awarded FLAP funds. This was, in fact a competition open to all school districts across the country and entry was entirely optional.

The Mansfield ISD plans to have mandatory Arabic classes in two of their schools and optional classes in the rest. Other school districts chose other languages.
