Yet another graph reflecting "total" healthcare expenditures. US spends roughly twice as much per capita.

Not taking sides but I believe that at the very top the U.S. absolutely has the best care if you have access to it.

But every single Canadian or European I have ever spoken to about this has basically replied along the lines of "Oh, Thank God! we don't have your system. That is seriously messed up!"

Oh yea that's another big argument on the right....They brag about Shieks and Third World dictators coming here for medical services.

As if all Americans get that same service.

Meanwhile..........

In 2006, about 150,000 American citizens traveled to Latin America and Asia for medical treatment.

In 2007, the figure increased to approximately 300,000.

By 2010, experts say that the number could increase to well over 1 million.

"Socialist" is a slur they use to keep gullible Americans thinking universal health care is a bad thing.
If we had Europe's system (which is bankrupting them" that 18 year old would have died before getting any care or 40% of his brain removed. Get real!
You are also welcome to open your VAST wallet and donate money to many of our charities which take care of people who have little or nothing to pay.
Socialists have big mouths and ideas ALL with other people's money.

Yeah, right. And if you put your tooth under your pillow you will get money from Obama in the morning.

Ummm...those are people who are fooled into thinking some voodoo doctor with a miracle cure which is banned in the USA is gonna fix what ails them.

Like people who go to Mexico for cancer drugs not approved here....probably because they don't work.

Um, yeah, they go there mostly for things like face lifts and other cosmetic surgeries.

The devil is in the details.
