We are expected to job hop our entire lives and attend community college to "retrain" every few years.

She also stated: "jobs recently eliminated are not coming back."
She is being realistic.

Nothing wrong with continuing your education, it will make you live a longer and happier life.

And of course you shouldn't expect to work at any corporation for any amount of time, seeing as they are closing their doors right and left and shipping jobs to people who will work for less money in other places.

Yes, some manufacturing jobs eliminated aren't coming back, duh, you didn't know that? You probably need to go back to school. This is just the world we live in. You either have a job where you are highly educated to get it, or you will be working in service industry jobs.

SO every two or three years, you will change jobs and career fields and learn a new job skill or get a degree....

What a fabulous idea.

Just one thing, how do you pay for this?

Mostly service type jobs.

First off, wasn't aware the U.S had a Queen. Secondly community college is very affordable. If you could afford to pay $100 for a cable bill or cell phone per month, you darn well could afford $40 per credit to attend community college to further your education.

Many jobs today ARE looking for someone with a minimum of their Associates degree or some type of certification. By your reasoning someone working at McDonalds should not considering moving onto a better paying job because Michelle had to nerve to recommend attending community college.

That happened in the 60's.
Today it's most white collar jobs requiring 4 year degrees.
Lawyers, accountants, programmers, banking, etc.
You have engineers (4 year degrees) going back to CC to learn trade skills.

This is the new America. Get used to it.

Could she possibly be the most ignorant first lady ever? I can't think of anyone in recent history who has made completely retarded statements anywhere near as bad as this stupid woman.
