The hard work paid off , the Republicans are voted in fair and square . Of course the Republicans are going to do what the promised and reverse the union bribes the last government set forward .
If people don't like what the present Governor is doing , they can vote for someone else in four years , that's the American way.

NO ! Not for the state teachers union , they break the law by closing the schools , use the children to benefit their paycheck , surround the Governor's house with his children in it . What a disgrace . Then the President of the United States of America takes the side of the outlaws .
And as I pointed about about, only about 30,000 state employees are unionized, and about 10% of them were at the demonstrations in Madison. so we are watching 1% trying to force a continuation of their fat, bloated benefits packages on the other 99% of us.

1% should be easy enough for which to hire replacements, permanently!

Care to explain how a modest change in 10% of the state workers is a slap in the face to students.

The saying comes to mind "Two wrongs don't make a right".

The state legislature that passed the budget that agreed to the Unions demands in the first place was stupid.

The new representation, if they allowed that to continue, would be stupid.

They want the teachers to pay half of what most everyone else in Wisconsin pays for health insurance and their pension plan. In tough economic times, thats not such a bad thing.

I don't like the idea of outlawing collective bargaining, but trying to cut back during hard times isn't such a bad thing, IMO. Again, I'm not part of Wisconsin, I have no dog in this fight, but its interesting to watch.

Actually, that's not true. I can't think of a case in the last 50 years when Republican legislators ran away. This is twice in recent Democrat history. It is becoming a trend for Dem legislators to give the electorate the big middle finger.

And that 1% has garnered the WH and DC and press and any and all activists are coming out of the woodwork.

The MSM will play this up like this will effect 99.9% of the population.

Not only that, but it seems many of the students in that crowd don't even know what they're protesting.

Yawn, oh the hypocrisy from the left when it is a Republican Gov. at the helm.

History lesson from the previous Gov. :
Legislators OK state pay freeze - JSOnline

Quote:
May 27, 2009

Madison - Thousands of state employees and University of Wisconsin faculty and staff members won't see any salary increases until July 2011, under budget-cutting action that legislative leaders took Wednesday.

The Legislature's Joint Committee on Employment Relations unanimously voted to rescind a 2% pay increase that was to take effect in June. The action is final; the full Legislature will not take up the matter.
Gov. Jim Doyle had recommended the salary freezes as a way to make up for a shortfall in tax collections that increased the two-year state deficit by $1.6 billion, putting it at $6.6 billion.

Plenty of NY-NJ teachers out of work , gas up the Greyhound! The teachers in Camden would jump at the chance .
