The federal income tax revenue went from $1.2117 trillion in 2000 to $1.4501 trillion in 2008, a brutal 19.67% increase.
Compared to the 8 years before under Clinton, income tax revenue went from $576.2 billion in 92 to $1.2117 trillion an increase of 110.29% over those eight years.
In four years under George H. W Bush income tax revenue went from $495.7 billion to $576.2 billion. An increase of 16.24% during his four years in office.
Under the 8 years of Ronald Reagan, federal income tax revenues went from $308.7 billion to $495.7 billion. A 60.58% increase in eight years
Under Carter federal income tax revenues increase from $173 billion to $308.7 billion. A 43.96% increase in four years
But it was an increase, correct? It directly contradicts the liberal's claim of the government receiving less revenue after tax cuts.
