While what the Democratic politicians are doing may be "legal", they are refusing to allow the Democratic process to occur. I don't think the voters there will be too happy that they are being paid to lounge at some resort and not do the State's business.
Yes, there's nothing wrong with protesting as long as it's real and not a "rent-a-mob" sent in by the DNC and the President. I recall a Democrat saying that elections have consequences.....well, in WI, the consequence here is that the Republicans were elected to reign in this type of thing. They are doing the bidding of their constituents. So in essence they are demonstrating against Democracy.
The Tea Party wasn't protesting Democracy....they only wanted the politicians they elected to LISTEN to their wishes, which they weren't.

Classless POS Obama should be fired for crimes against the American people.
He needs to keep his stinking nose out of this and has fueled a possible riot.
No President should be inciting riots and asking for any other American to be bloodied.
He needs to be removed from office.
Fire Obama and fire all the teachers who called in sick and did not show up to teach our kids instead of getting together to cause panic and a possible riot.
People who voted for this idiot should be ashamed of themselves.
