The Republicans proposed a very sane solution, defund abortion clinics. Planned Parenthood can have women's healthcare clinics seperate from clinics that do abortions. What would be their motive for opposing this
Only one reason. They are more interested in abortions than any woman's health.
That is how abortion is funded to begin with. The taxpayer services that go to Planned Parenthood do not go towards abortions. They go to things like sex ed, HIV tests, birth control etc.
Please prove that deliniation of funds via PP's financial statement.
Who cares about women's health?
After all, if you listen to some of the posters on CD, they're only whores who deserve whatever horrors might befall them.
But they'll always find ways to afford cigarettes and booze, you can be damned sure of that.
Weird, because when I was having issues and went to PP to have my yearly exam (I had no insurance at the time) I was not drinking OR smoking...and they found precancerous cells on my cervix. With treatment, I'm healthy (I have insurance now) and without PP, I might have full blown cancer right now.

Bullseye. Abortions bring in the money to PP; which, they can continue to do sans government funding.

I donate yearly to PP because of that.
I'm glad it worked out well for you. If PP would concentrate its efforts on such preventative measures going forward instead of government funded abortions, maybe more women can be helped, not less.
Birth control pills, Depo, IUD, PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY!
Personal responsibility...what a novel concept!
